Built in the 1890, the Palace Theatre Paignton has always given back to the local community; whether that’s putting on incredible shows, hosting young creatives or helping with local events, the Palace is always there for the people of Torbay.
Since it first opened, the Palace Theatre has welcomed over a staggering 2 million people through the doors and the theatre currently hosts around 100 performances every year. This “grand old lady” has seen some major changes over the years.
The most recent being the set-up of Community Interest Company (CIC), Jazz Hands, who have taken on the huge task of running this historic theatre. The dedication, creativity and commitment from this new team is awe-inspiring with everything and all profits bring re-invested into the Palace Theatre to benefit the community on its doorstep. The programme is evolving also, with literally something for every taste; reasons aplenty to keep going back!
