The afternoon we spent with him left us aghast with joy that this kind of talent lives on our doorstep. We recorded another live Shorely Session at our Torbay studio and we're delighted to share the wonderful results with you here. Over the last year Bert Miller And The Animal Folk - a band consisting of Bert plus five other incredibly talented musicians from Bristol - have played at Bestival, Glastonbury, vegfest, and Torquay's very own Grinagog Festival. They have been part of BBC Introducing and are most often described as 'the twelve legged freak show'.

“ ‘My plan for next year is play at a lot of festivals and during the day I want to run around with a worm ambulance I am going to make from a wheel barrow filled with mud. In a nutshell my theory is, if it rains at any of the festivals I will be playing at, the worms come out for a wriggle and get stomped on by the public. So if I run around with a siren on my head picking them up and getting children to help me. I’ll teach them what lovely creatures they are. My hope is that’ll get them thinking about saving all walks of life at an early age. If they can start to thinking about saving worms, it’s easy to save cows!’ ”
