At The Shorely, we love to embrace the hidden gems. One year after opening, we return for an exclusive tour around Paignton's top secret venue, The Lucky 7 Club.

One year down the line and we’re welcomed back through the secret doors of The Lucky 7 Club as co-founder, Sarah Bell shows us around the now fully-decorated members-only club. We first entered The Lucky 7 Club back in September 2017 when founders, Lisa Briggs and Sarah Bell, were mid-way through transforming this derelict working mans club into an exclusive burlesque, cabaret and live music paradise.

The Lucky 7 Club has three sumptuous rooms with the main two being staging areas and the third a chilled out green room; all are curated with incredible furniture, quirky displays and eclectic objects that the co-owners have either collected for years or that have been donated by their loyal fans. This is a visual feast that delights everyone who enters; there’s even a heart-warming detail adorning one wall:

"The hearts represent every single person who crowdfunded us." - Sarah Bell, Co-Founder of The Lucky 7 Club.

The Lucky 7 Club hosts a diverse range of events, from cabaret and comedy to film screenings, live music and theatre, as well as parties and even weddings! With the party season upon us, we’ll be heading out in Paignton to catch some of these marvellously festive and diverse events: 14 December for The Christmas Jumper Party, 15 December for The Beardy Christmas Ball, 21 December for The Arty Farty Christmas Party, 22 December for The Lions Barber Collective Christmas Ball and the 29 December for K&Q's Not New Year's Eve Burlesque & Boogie.

Just because it's a members-only doesn't mean you can't go to The Lucky 7 Club, it just means you have to buy a ticket in advance. Once, you purchase your ticket, you'll receive an email from the team at The Lucky 7 Club with top secret directions to the venue and information about the night. For more information and to book tickets, go to their website and facebook page.
