Our friends over at Squircle Arts are at it again with another fun community event. Join-in the lantern parade for Paignton’s Festival of Light.

On Saturday 8th December, the lantern parade - led by Squirlce Arts CIC - will light up the streets of Paignton with sing-along music, dancing, and some extra festive treats.

The fun starts at 3.45pm in Torbay Park (opposite Pirates Bay Adventure Golf) where you'll be able to show off your very own lanterns proudly; there are also prizes for the best creations!

Not sure where to start? Follow our how-to video and here's everything you’ll need to get started. Have a go with the kids and make something to take along:

  • Masking tape

  • Ruler

  • Scissors

  • Tissue Paper

  • PVA Glue mixed with water

  • Garden Cane / Bamboo or Willow

  • Sponge / Paint Brush

For more information about the lantern parade and other festive events across Torbay, connect with Christmas by the Sea @FestiveTorbay across Facebook and Twitter. Christmas by the Sea is brought to you by Squircle Arts CIC with support and public funding from the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and the kind support of many local organisations and individuals. Nice!
