It’s cutting-edge theatre, happening in a community hall in our own neighbourhood. That’s what’s exciting about the Doorstep Theatre Festival - world class theatre, right here on our doorstep.

Highlights from the festival include:

# 1 Ground Control
Saturday 3rd November, 11:00am & 3:00pm
St Boniface Hall, Paignton, TQ3 3UY

A unique interactive performance for 7 – 12 year olds. No adults allowed! You are Ground Control, and Futuretron is asking for your help to decide the future of a new planet. Using a giant projection screen and a live, highly intelligent computer you will be part of a team deciding on an identity for the planet, its laws and values.

#2 Rendezvous in Bratislava
Saturday 3rd November, 2:00pm & 7:30pm
The Lucky 7 Club, Paignton

Miriam and her granddad are making a cabaret together. They’re the perfect double act: he’s got the stories, she loves telling them, and they both have a flair for the theatrical. The only problem is they’ve never met. (He’s been dead for 37 years.) With original music and a live band of Slovaks, Rendezvous in Bratislava celebrates the power of laughter in troubled times.

#3 Live Before You Die
Sunday 4th November, 4:00pm,
The Edge, Bolton Street, Brixham, TQ5 9DH

What do you do when you have a best mate who is so sad he might die? Byron is a bipolar performance artist, Dave only communicates in insults. Together they must find a way to fix Byron’s broken soul before it’s too late. Funny, tragic and shockingly honest, this is a true story of hopelessness and friendship told by two men on a desperate quest for happiness.

You can catch all of these shows and more from Wednesday 31st October to Sunday 4th November 2018. For more information and to book tickets visit:
